The Teledyne Hastings Instruments HPM 4/5/6 is a hand-held, battery-operated digital vacuum gauge based on the highly successful VT/CVT-Series of Hastings Gauges which have generated loyal customers for over 50 years.
The HPM 4/5/6 features a precision A/D converter along with a microprocessor to measure the thermocouple vacuum gauge tubes signal output. The microprocessor converts the measurement to a pressure reading by employing the gauge tubes welldefined output/pressure relationship. The result is displayed using a bright, easy-to read graphical display.
The HPM 4/5/6 is compatible with three of THIs most popular gauge tube families: DV-4, DV-5 and DV-6. These tubes utilize THIs rugged but sensitive noble metal thermocouples that are designed specifically for each range. Tubes are matched and interchangeable without calibration adjustments. They are compensated for temperature and rate of temperature change and are corrosion resistant.
It features a new design, from now on you can use the DV-5 Series gauge tube too, it has got a modern display and a detachable cable (it means that if the wire breaks you can just replace it and not have the whole instrument repaired.
The graphical display is Easy to Read, it indicates:
- Battery Status
- Sensor Series (DV-4, DV-5, DV-6)
- Adjustable Display Units: Torr, mbar, Pascal
This instruments comes with a protective covering, at the same price as the HPM 4/6, but with a lot of improvements!
