All coatings are deposited under high vacuum using electron beam evaporation. Applications include optics, nanotechnology, and AFM applications.
We use premium BOROFLOAT® 33 (NEXTERION® Glass B) microscope slides which exhibit excellent chemical and temperature stability and durability, exceptional flatness, tight thickness tolerance, and roughness ≤ 1 nm RMS. More information on the glass can be found here.

We use a thin titanium adhesion layer (2-7 nm) between the glass and silver coating. This adhesion layer is optional and can also be replaced with chromium upon request. All glass slides are packaged in a clean environment and shipped in individual slide mailers.
Technical Features
High quality substrates coated with 500 Å (50 nm) of silver. All coatings include a 50 Å titanium adhesion layer between the substrate surface and the silver coating.
