From June 25 to 30, 2026, Schaefer Tec will be participating in SELSIM 2026, the renowned international school and workshop on scanning probe microscopy taking place in Sondalo, Italy. Together with our partner CS Instruments, we will showcase innovative solutions designed to support both cutting-edge research and the modernization of existing AFM platforms.

Taking center stage will be the Nano Observer II, CS Instruments’ advanced Atomic Force Microscope (AFM), offering high-resolution imaging, flexible measurement capabilities, and a user-friendly operating environment. The system is designed to meet the demands of modern research laboratories working in materials science, nanotechnology, life sciences, and many other fields.

Alongside the Nano Observer II, visitors will also have the opportunity to discover the Galaxy Dual Controller, an innovative upgrade solution that brings new capabilities to AFM systems that are no longer supported by their original manufacturers. By replacing outdated electronics with a modern control platform, the Galaxy Dual Controller extends the operational life of existing instruments while introducing enhanced performance, new features, and improved software compatibility.

For many laboratories, this approach represents a cost-effective alternative to purchasing a completely new AFM system, enabling them to preserve their investment while benefiting from the latest technological developments.

We look forward to meeting researchers, scientists, and industry professionals at SELSIM 2026 and discussing how the Nano Observer II and Galaxy Dual Controller can support both new AFM projects and the revitalization of legacy instrumentation.
