We recently announced the availability of 300mm x 300mm and multi-sample 2-inchwafer stages for the 5600LS AFM. These two new stages extend the application versatility of the system, which also offers the largest fully addressable and programmable stage on the market for an AFM (200mm x 200mm) as well as a special stage adapter that allows the use of a sample plate to image   small samples in liquid.
Our modular 5600LS provides researchers an ideal tool for semiconductor, optoelectronics, materials science, and life science studies. It is the world’s only commercially available AFM that permits imaging of both large samples (in air) and small samples (in air, or in liquid under temperature control) with a 9μm scanner. Whether imaging large or small samples, the 5600LS delivers atomic-resolution results.

The system is compatible with contact mode, acoustic AC mode, phase imaging, STM, LFM, EFM, MFM, force modulation, current sensing, MAC Mode III, and SMM.
The programmable, motorized, 200mm x 200mm stage enables fast, accurate probe positioning for specimen imaging and mapping (0.5μm precision). Investigators can locate and identify an area of interest and, with the coordinates stored, automatically reposition the sample quickly and accurately for further study. Multiple locations can be programmed. The stage easily accommodates either a single sample up to 200mm in diameter and 30mm tall or as many as nine small samples with the 200mm vacuum chuck (more can be held with tape), each of whose locations can be programmed.
Our new 300mm x 300mm stage now allows 5600LS users to handle even larger samples with ease, whereas our new multi-sample, 2-inchwafer stage is perfect for research involving optoelectronics and LEDs.
